The hullo buckwheat pillow is very comfy. I had to remove some of the hulls but once a couple of weeks went by, I find the pillow very comfortable. It is solid and forms a concave shape based on your head position. This is the best pillow I have used.

…but I sleep better than I ever have with my Hullo pillow. I was hesitant at first, I’ve never spent so much on a pillow before, but I go through a couple of pillows a year because they flatten out. At one point I was sleeping with 2 or 3 pillows to be comfortable. This is the last pillow I’ll ever buy! It is comfortable, stable, and stays cool.

I bought this pillow because I sleep with a CPAP machine for sleep apnea and wasn’t able to sleep on my side with a regular pillow. I’ve been sleeping like a champ (on my side) and getting a great night’s sleep with my Hullo pillow! I saw reviews complaining that the pillow is noisy, but that’s not an issue for me.

We’ve been sleeping on buckwheat pillows for decades and love them. When it was time to buy new ones, we did a bit more research than previously and we’re happy to have found Hullo. After a few hull adjustments, we’re as pleased as can be with our pillows. My only suggestion is that the pillows could be made with 100% organic components: buckwheat hulls and pillow cases. Highly recommend Hullo.

I got a recommendation from a patient for this pillow, but after the first night, it caused extreme head, neck, and shoulder pain! It was as hard as a rock. And it was also very loud every time you move to change positions to try to get comfortable with it. It is definitely not the pillow for us to sell to our patients when it causes extreme pain. The return policy is very misleading since the company gives you 60 days to return the pillow for a full refund, but when you ask to return the pillow they email you and ask you not to because of the impact on the environment. The pillow and the box weigh almost 15 lbs which will cost over $50 to ship back, and I will pay that to get the remaining refund. Companies that are misleading in the verbiage on their websites, or do not disclose that they do not pay for shipping on a return, and just leave out the information that your refund is minus your return shipping costs, is not a company my healthcare facility will do business with. The Hullo website on returns is misleading.

I was admittedly very skeptical about the Hullo pillow and didn’t even throw away the box, thinking I’d return it. I kid you not, after night one, I woke out without any neck/jaw pain for the first time in YEARS. I was absolutely shocked and cannot say enough good things about the pillow. I ended up buying a second for my mom and she loves hers, too.

It did take a few days to adjust to the Hullo pillow. Now I use just one Hullo pillow after using 2 pillows for years. It doesn’t get hot (haven’t tried it through a summer yet) and the support is great. An unexpected benefit from the Hullo is that it provides wonderful back support when I sit up in bed (I put a big throw pillow on top of the Hullo for my head).

After years of using down pillows and suffering with neck pain I am so happy to have discovered hullo pillows. I get firm support and still feel comfortable. The cotton twill case is lovely. I wish I could buy another cotton case for when I throw this one in the wash.

Skeptical at first. All of my life I have preferred super soft goose downy pillows. I ended up with a Hulo pillow and did not think I would like it at all. It seemed way to firm and noisy for my pillow tastes. I threw it on my bed with the rest of my tried and true super soft pillows. I figured that it might act as a foundation. Slowly but surely I ended up pushing the old pillows aside for the Hulo pillow. Much to my surprise, I now prefer the buckwheat hulls over goose down. Although firmer, the hullo pillow has just the right amount of give while supporting my head and neck positions. Gone are the sore necks, kinks and pinched nerves. Thanks Hullo for a great product!!!

I love that it holds it’s shape and stays cool. I no longer flip my pillow throughout the night to puff up feathers or get the cool side. The only small complaint I can make is that it’s louder than a normal pillow, but since I don’t have to continuously flip it it doesn’t bother my wife.

This pillow solves several issues for me. It is comfortable. When I lay on the pillow the buckwheat kernels adjust to my head and neck to provide support all night. I am allergic to feather pillows. Like foam pillows, they both compress and need adjusting through the night. Thank you, hullo, for making a great pillow.

I had been racked w/ neck and back pain for over a year. Much of my pain was due to bad work space ergonomics, but also I came to realize that my sleeping arrangement was also a problem. After reading/ researching all of the side-sleep pillows I settled on the Hullo, as I cannot abide by foam pillows so Hullo was a natural choice (pun intended). After less than a month my neck pain had completely disappeared. Literally overnight. I cannot recommend the pillow enough. I took out about 20% of the hulls, only so our pillow cases could accommodate. I made a cat bed out of the excess. I think they’re sleeping better as well!

I’ve had my hullo pillow for almost three months now. After reading so many rave reviews I had high expectations but I can’t say it resolved my neck pain and tightness and it’s not the most comfy pillow I’ve ever had but then that’s perhaps not what one should expect from a buckwheat pillow. But it didn’t make my neck pain worse either and while it feels rather hard, overall I still sleep better on it than on a regular, small or a memory foam pillow made especially to support the neck. I like the size of the pillow but find the filling quite voluminous and will experiment next with removing some of the buckwheat content to see if that makes it feel better. I thought about returning it and think it’s great that the company offers that option but I’ve decided to keep it.

I waited too long before I tried the pillow, so I’m too late to request a refund. My bad. I tried it every night for 3 weeks. During that time I did adjust the buckwheat content level a few times trying to achieve a better outcome. But, I developed some neck and shoulder pain. I had to stop using the pillow and my neck and shoulder pain have lessened. Just not for me.
