It did take a few days to adjust to the Hullo pillow. Now I use just one Hullo pillow after using 2 pillows for years. It doesn’t get hot (haven’t tried it through a summer yet) and the support is great. An unexpected benefit from the Hullo is that it provides wonderful back support when I sit up in bed (I put a big throw pillow on top of the Hullo for my head).

After years of using down pillows and suffering with neck pain I am so happy to have discovered hullo pillows. I get firm support and still feel comfortable. The cotton twill case is lovely. I wish I could buy another cotton case for when I throw this one in the wash.

Skeptical at first. All of my life I have preferred super soft goose downy pillows. I ended up with a Hulo pillow and did not think I would like it at all. It seemed way to firm and noisy for my pillow tastes. I threw it on my bed with the rest of my tried and true super soft pillows. I figured that it might act as a foundation. Slowly but surely I ended up pushing the old pillows aside for the Hulo pillow. Much to my surprise, I now prefer the buckwheat hulls over goose down. Although firmer, the hullo pillow has just the right amount of give while supporting my head and neck positions. Gone are the sore necks, kinks and pinched nerves. Thanks Hullo for a great product!!!

I love that it holds it’s shape and stays cool. I no longer flip my pillow throughout the night to puff up feathers or get the cool side. The only small complaint I can make is that it’s louder than a normal pillow, but since I don’t have to continuously flip it it doesn’t bother my wife.

This pillow solves several issues for me. It is comfortable. When I lay on the pillow the buckwheat kernels adjust to my head and neck to provide support all night. I am allergic to feather pillows. Like foam pillows, they both compress and need adjusting through the night. Thank you, hullo, for making a great pillow.

I had been racked w/ neck and back pain for over a year. Much of my pain was due to bad work space ergonomics, but also I came to realize that my sleeping arrangement was also a problem. After reading/ researching all of the side-sleep pillows I settled on the Hullo, as I cannot abide by foam pillows so Hullo was a natural choice (pun intended). After less than a month my neck pain had completely disappeared. Literally overnight. I cannot recommend the pillow enough. I took out about 20% of the hulls, only so our pillow cases could accommodate. I made a cat bed out of the excess. I think they’re sleeping better as well!

I love the size. Most other companies that make buckwheat pillows don’t have large ones (because they’re so heavy?). I’ve slept better than a lazy cat since getting my Hullo pillows!

I’ve had my hullo pillow for almost three months now. After reading so many rave reviews I had high expectations but I can’t say it resolved my neck pain and tightness and it’s not the most comfy pillow I’ve ever had but then that’s perhaps not what one should expect from a buckwheat pillow. But it didn’t make my neck pain worse either and while it feels rather hard, overall I still sleep better on it than on a regular, small or a memory foam pillow made especially to support the neck. I like the size of the pillow but find the filling quite voluminous and will experiment next with removing some of the buckwheat content to see if that makes it feel better. I thought about returning it and think it’s great that the company offers that option but I’ve decided to keep it.

I waited too long before I tried the pillow, so I’m too late to request a refund. My bad. I tried it every night for 3 weeks. During that time I did adjust the buckwheat content level a few times trying to achieve a better outcome. But, I developed some neck and shoulder pain. I had to stop using the pillow and my neck and shoulder pain have lessened. Just not for me.

I really like this Small Buckwheat Pillow, but the size I bought (great for travel) has made it impossible for me to find a pillowcase that fits it. If you’re going to make a weirdo-size pillow, at least sell a case to go with. No one sells this size case. I guess i’ll have to make my own. Annoying.

Had my first Hullo pillow for a few years and slept with it comfortably. Then our aging cat had an ‘accident’. The pillow was thrown out and I slept with a regular one. It took me only two or three night to decide to buy a new one!

It’s ok. Quite expensive and worse in most ways than my $20 pillows.
The first week was rough – my neck was so stiff! Then I finally started taking out hulls, and things got better… and I took our more hulls, and things got better… I took out a total of 6.5 cups, and now I don’t want to sleep on anything else!

I bought this pillow for my husband a few months ago. Over the past few years, we have bought him several pillows, none of which have worked for him. I am so happy with this purchase that I brought one for a gift for my son! I have enjoyed this pillow since the first night; it really does stay cool. Having a pillow that is nice and firm is wonderful. Just like the description says, you put your head on it and it forms to your head and neck. I started shopping for a new pillow because I was waking up almost every morning with a headache, since getting the Hullo the headaches have almost disappeared. It is well worth the extra money to have a great purchase. My son is also enjoying his and no longer has to flip to the cool side.
