Are You Freaking Kidding Me?
This pillow is amazing. If you have any neck problems I highly recommend it. It takes a day to get used to the noise, but completely worth it.

The Hullo is the best pillow I have ever had. Waking at night and in the morning with a sore neck and shoulders gets old real fast. I let a bit of hulls out for a softer pillow and it has been perfect!

It’s basically a bag of beans. It may keep temperature a bit cooler, but not very comfortable.
My wife & I both tried it over the course of 7 months. But now its in the closet waiting for the next garage sale. Most recently I used it for a gun rest to get sighted in for deer season. Worked great, but a pretty expensive gun rest.
I have tried several different types of pillows in my lifetime because of various orthopedic problems and desperation for non narcotic pain and insomnia relief you name it i’ve probably tried it and as a child in the mid 90’s my occupational therapy suggested to my parents i try a buckwheat pillow and it was great no more insomnia no more pain etc.etc. the problem was as the years went by the hulls eventually as they do broke down/flatten etc and there was no way to replace the hulls the casing had no zipper so unfortunately and regrettably at the time we threw it away thinking we’ll just order a new one from the therapy catalogue we had no computers back then let alone a way to online shop come to find out the company we got the first one from went out of business so i reverted back to my foam pillow and various feather cotton and so on fast forward to about 20 years later about a year ago i started having severe episodes of insomnia and pain again remembering the comfort and relief i had with my good ol’ buckwheat pillow and this being the 21st century i decided to see if i could buy one online and bingo came across an asian company that sells king size for about 40 bucks a piece vs hullo’s price and i thinking buckwheat pillows are all the same and could save a few bucks went with the cheaper brand BIG mistake the case was so thin and stitching weak but worst off was the pesticide fumes it gave off which gave me migraines every time i slept on it because it had to be fumigated prior to being imported to the u.s.a long story short you get what you pay for and if you want a high quality if not the highest quality buckwheat pillow made in the U.S.A get a hullo
say hello to hullo then goodnight lol
p.s. i just wish a few things like the prices could be just a little lower without lowering quality or you had the choice between buckwheat or millet hulls and you could buy just the case as a spare incase something happens to the other like if it ever needs to be washed etc

Ordering was easy and the company is up-front, honest, and helpful. The pillow is high quality and very comfortable. You will sleep well for two reasons: The pillow supports your neck like no other pillow. It keeps you cool, and unlike so many other pillows that have toxins and a toxic smell, this pillow is safe, which is the second reason you’ll sleep well. You’ll know that what your face is touching and what you’re breathing night after night for years to come is safe and not toxic to you or your family or pets. These are the only pillows anyone should ever buy.

This pillow is firm. Really firm. Be warned, if you return the pillow, there’s no free shipping. You have to pay for shipping and the pillow is very heavy. It’s like shipping a really large bag of flour.
I’ve had terrible neck pain for about 20 years. I recently heard about the buckwheat pillow and was lucky to be able to try one at a high end hotel. I really liked it so I bought the cheapest “travel size” I could find thinking I could also travel with it. Mistake. Really uncomfortable.
I did a bunch of online research and liked the way Hullo presented so I ordered their standard size pillow.
Wow! I slept great. About a week or two later it seemed like the hulls were compressing a little too much and I needed more buckwheat hulls. I emailed Hullo and asked to order more hulls. They sent them to me FREE! For many months now, my neck pain is just gone. I will never sleep on another type of pillow again.
The pillow seems like it needs a few more hulls again so I’m buying some more. I guess I really like it thick for side sleeping. I always used to sleep on my arms and my pillow. Now my arms fall asleep so it’s better to have just the pillow and leave my arms by my side.
Love the support! Love the company.

I was a bit skeptical the first night but once I dialed it in, I’m a believer. It took about 2 weeks of taking some out, adding some back in that I got the pillow exactly where I prefer.
I’m a side sleeper and love the support my neck and head get. The support lasts all morning and I don’t have to keep flipping or fluffing the pillow. The firmness does take some getting used to but I sleep with earrings in and it doesn’t bother me.
The “noise” hasn’t been a factor for me or my spouse–its just a quiet rustle as I settle into the pillow.
I love how cool it stays!
It is a little bit harder to sit propped up in bed, leaning against the headboard than a traditional pillow. Overall a great trade for a great nights sleep.

Hullo is really supportive, I use it under my regular pillow. It holds its shape well. Heavy, a little noisy but it does work well if you take your time to get used to it.

As far back as I can remember using a pillow at night, I’ve used a feather pillow. Pillows stuffed with the softest down have been my default, my go to. I haughtily looked down on pillows of any other type. This was even though I’d been growing more dissatisfied with my feather pillow’s tendency to wake me in the middle of the night because it’s lofty support had degraded and squished away through after a few hours.
Well, then I heard some ad-reads for the Hullo Pillow on The Talk Show podcast. I decided to give a buckwheat pillow a try. It seemed relatively risk-free.
The first week was difficult. I was so used to the soft, plushness of feather pillows: the buckwheat pillow felt like a slab of concrete in comparison.
But, then the second week hit. By then, my muscles were well adjusted. The pillow start to feel supportive rather than hard. I was a convert! This pillow is great.
This pillow excels at all-night-long support and good breathability. Unlike my feather pillows of the past, this pillow works with/for me, rather than against me.
What a fantastic pillow!

Had been through a number of regular pillows and all gave me neck and upper back pains. Hubby got a hullo for me and I’ve had some of the best sleep (in years) since using it. No more pain in the morning. This one is a keeper (just like hubby!).
You owe it to yourself to try one.

It took me a while to get used to the crunching, but I love it now. It really helps with neck and shoulder pain. Great investment for good sleep.

I’ve been sleeping with a buckwheat neckroll for a long time and ordered this lovely pillow for my boyfriend. He likes it a lot, and I’m very pleased with its quality and effectiveness.

I love this buckwheat pillow!
It supports my head and neck and helps with my neck pain.
I purchased the personal size so I can also travel with it.
I’m very happy with my purchase!

I was initially skeptical of the sound/texture of the pillow but it’s now my favorite pillow I’ve ever had.

Unlike any other pillow I’ve had, plus great customer service. I have a history of neck pain and am very picky about my pillows since one night with a bad pillow for me can mean multiple days of limited mobility in my neck. This pillow provides just the right amount of support (without being rigid) and comfort (without being crazy fluffy). It has a funny smell for the first few days but it wears off quickly.

I like a hard pillow. I don’t want to spend lots of $ to get one. After dealing with a chunky inconsistent pillow for too long I saw the Hullo pillow on a frequented website and said, what the heck, give it a shot.
The greatest think about the pillow is that I can adjust it anyway I want; harder, softer, build it up, sink it down. It’s not just a hard pillow—it’s a pillow to meet any need.
I’m quite happy with it.

I don’t usually write reviews, but am making an exception for this product. I heard about the Hullo pillows on a podcast and thought my wife and I could give them a try since they have a very generous 60 day return policy.
Neither of us loved them immediately. I liked it but they do seem noisy at first and they are so different from any pillow I had every used before.
My wife was harder to win over and, even though we are in our 50s, she was now on the hunt for the perfect pillow. She did research, bought pillows online, bought pillows in stores, tried them out and ended up returning all of them. None of them were better than the Hullo pillow!
We both love them now, have less neck pain, sleep comfortably and don’t notice the noise anymore (they either got quieter or we adjusted to the noise).
Anyway, we are both very happy with them and would highly recommend them.

I just ordered an other pillow for my wife, and that is a complement to Hullo for a fine product.
Thank you,

I’ve never cared for regular pillows as I find they get too warm under my head. I like to use the Hullo pillow snugly under my neck. It provides great support and doesn’t get warm. I gave it four stars because the price is somewhat high.

I have been sleeping on my Hullo for about 3 months now and absolutely love it! First Impressions: Well made, different, and hard. I started out using my Hullo thinking this pillow may not be for me. However, I had a sore neck issue that wasn’t going away which is why I searched for, found and purchased my Hullo in the first place. Anyway, I stuck with it through the first couple weeks of getting use to the noise (which I don’t notice at all now and my wife never has) and learning what shape works best for me. I am a side sleeper and I find that if I fluff the pillow and then smash the middle down it gives my neck perfect support. Once it’s the shape I prefer, it stays that way for most of the night with the need for me to tweak it once or twice throughout the night.
I have spent thousands on every type of pillow out there and I am so grateful that I found Hullo and I love my buckwheat pillow! Thank you!

I start out sleeping on my back but tend to sleep on my side as well. The Hullo supports both very well. I’ve been pleased with the Hullo and the support and coolness it gives my head and neck. The biggest challenge I have with it is getting it into the pillowcase (due to the weight and mass) but that is a very minor thing. I would recommend the pillow to others.

I live in Florida–this is the pillow for hot heads. It actually keeps you cool, and the sleep is wonderful.

I generally like the pillow but had some issues with it’s “hardness” when formed into position. I recently solved this by using another typical foam pillow on top of it. I pack the Hulo down hard and flat, and partially into the space where the mattress meets the headboard. then place the foam pillow on top. this gave me the support I needed and the softness. I am a side sleeper, and a “roller”, and like to extend my arm above my head so finding the “just-right” position has always been difficult. also, somehow some of the buckwheat hulls keep escaping from the pillow. for some reason the zipper doesn’t seem to stay fully in the closed position. last, why can’t it be made with a removable cover that can be washed without emptying all the hulls?
