Hullo! I Love You!
I love this buckwheat pillow!
It supports my head and neck and helps with my neck pain.
I purchased the personal size so I can also travel with it.
I’m very happy with my purchase!

I was initially skeptical of the sound/texture of the pillow but it’s now my favorite pillow I’ve ever had.

Unlike any other pillow I’ve had, plus great customer service. I have a history of neck pain and am very picky about my pillows since one night with a bad pillow for me can mean multiple days of limited mobility in my neck. This pillow provides just the right amount of support (without being rigid) and comfort (without being crazy fluffy). It has a funny smell for the first few days but it wears off quickly.

I like a hard pillow. I don’t want to spend lots of $ to get one. After dealing with a chunky inconsistent pillow for too long I saw the Hullo pillow on a frequented website and said, what the heck, give it a shot.
The greatest think about the pillow is that I can adjust it anyway I want; harder, softer, build it up, sink it down. It’s not just a hard pillow—it’s a pillow to meet any need.
I’m quite happy with it.

I don’t usually write reviews, but am making an exception for this product. I heard about the Hullo pillows on a podcast and thought my wife and I could give them a try since they have a very generous 60 day return policy.
Neither of us loved them immediately. I liked it but they do seem noisy at first and they are so different from any pillow I had every used before.
My wife was harder to win over and, even though we are in our 50s, she was now on the hunt for the perfect pillow. She did research, bought pillows online, bought pillows in stores, tried them out and ended up returning all of them. None of them were better than the Hullo pillow!
We both love them now, have less neck pain, sleep comfortably and don’t notice the noise anymore (they either got quieter or we adjusted to the noise).
Anyway, we are both very happy with them and would highly recommend them.

I just ordered an other pillow for my wife, and that is a complement to Hullo for a fine product.
Thank you,

I’ve never cared for regular pillows as I find they get too warm under my head. I like to use the Hullo pillow snugly under my neck. It provides great support and doesn’t get warm. I gave it four stars because the price is somewhat high.

I have been sleeping on my Hullo for about 3 months now and absolutely love it! First Impressions: Well made, different, and hard. I started out using my Hullo thinking this pillow may not be for me. However, I had a sore neck issue that wasn’t going away which is why I searched for, found and purchased my Hullo in the first place. Anyway, I stuck with it through the first couple weeks of getting use to the noise (which I don’t notice at all now and my wife never has) and learning what shape works best for me. I am a side sleeper and I find that if I fluff the pillow and then smash the middle down it gives my neck perfect support. Once it’s the shape I prefer, it stays that way for most of the night with the need for me to tweak it once or twice throughout the night.
I have spent thousands on every type of pillow out there and I am so grateful that I found Hullo and I love my buckwheat pillow! Thank you!

I start out sleeping on my back but tend to sleep on my side as well. The Hullo supports both very well. I’ve been pleased with the Hullo and the support and coolness it gives my head and neck. The biggest challenge I have with it is getting it into the pillowcase (due to the weight and mass) but that is a very minor thing. I would recommend the pillow to others.

I live in Florida–this is the pillow for hot heads. It actually keeps you cool, and the sleep is wonderful.

I generally like the pillow but had some issues with it’s “hardness” when formed into position. I recently solved this by using another typical foam pillow on top of it. I pack the Hulo down hard and flat, and partially into the space where the mattress meets the headboard. then place the foam pillow on top. this gave me the support I needed and the softness. I am a side sleeper, and a “roller”, and like to extend my arm above my head so finding the “just-right” position has always been difficult. also, somehow some of the buckwheat hulls keep escaping from the pillow. for some reason the zipper doesn’t seem to stay fully in the closed position. last, why can’t it be made with a removable cover that can be washed without emptying all the hulls?
Yep, it’s the best pillow I ever used. I even wish there were a few more hulls in it so I could punch it up even more. I no longer have a sore neck in the morning! And I get hot at night–my ears turn bright red–and all I do when I awake is rotate the hullo and its coolness brings me back.
I should have ordered a king, but no worries–I’m happy with the next size.

Mostly side sleep, mold in position stays comfortable all night also same when on back.

I started sleeping kinda half on my side and half on my front and this caused me to wake up several times a night with an arm that had gone to sleep. I found I could alleviate this a bit by stacking and folding my regular pillows into just the right configuration. But if I changed sides, which I tend to do several times a night, I would lose that perfect configuration, and I would have to raise myself is out of sleep to reconfigure. The Hullo fixes all that. Just the one Hullo keeps my head up and supports my neck perfectly. And if I turn and then need to adjust the Hullo, one soft punch in its side usually does the trick. Adjusting the Hullo with a punch has become intuitive and I am not waking up to do it with each toss and turn during the night. No more arms going to sleep. No more middle-of-the-night pillow engineering sessions. This Hullo is a delight.

I love and like this pillow. It feels REALLY wonderful when I go to sleep, especially when I’m on my back. My only issue with it is that I start out the night feeling supported, but I will wake up on the edge of the pillow, my neck kind of crooked up to one side. All the buckwheat will have moved during the night and my neck is no longer supported. I haven’t taken any buckwheat out yet, maybe that will help? It’s better than soft pillows though, that’s for sure. My children keep stealing it from me!

I thought it would be perfect for me who like thin pillow. I took almost half of the seeds to make it thinner, yet it still wasn’t great. The firmness is the issue for me. Really feels like laying on a firm surface and it does not forms along when you change position.
I understand it’s a very personal opinion. The one star is for the bogus marketing telling you can try the pillow at no cost except they forget to mention returning it is at you own expense and cost more than the pillow.
TLDR: Amazing pillow. Don’t let the Buckwheat or price tag steer you away. Highly recommend.
So, if you’re here, you’re likely like me. Maybe you cicked on an ad, maybe it showed up on a google search.
Regardless, I found myself here, looking at site.. thinking it just another pillow claiming to be the next cure for world hunger. Buckwheat? that was a nickname of one of my grade school friends.
Eventually, I decided to try them, as their return policy was great and my current pillow had me up with a sore neck and headaches more often than not.
So, the pillow arrives. I try it out of the box. It wasn’t a good nights sleep at all, or the following 6 days. It comes with a sheet suggesting to adjust the buckwheat levels, so I tried that over 2 more nights.. and magic happened.
4 months later, I can’t imagine using any other pillow. The headaches are gone. Switching from back sleep to side sleep is effortless.
It’s even gotten to the point of me taking my pillow with me when I travel, as any other pillow seems woefully inadequate.
So if you’ve read this far and are on the fence.. I can’t recommend that you try one enough.

I had slept on buckwheat hulled pillows in Japan, liked them but they are traditionally smaller than US bed pillows so thought I’d try the Hullos. I love the pillows, despite little buckwheat seeds(?) falling through the fabric even when the case it tightly zipped. I had a neck injury from a car accident years ago and regular pillows don’t give me the support I need. The buckwheats do. The only real criticism is that they weigh a ton! Don’t use them for pillow fights, they would do serious damage (can’t image anyone actually doing this). Don’t think Hullo could fix this but it would be a definite benefit.

I like it when I’m on the couch watching TV- but I rarely do that anymore. Truthfully if I would have kept my receipt, I would have returned it within the 60 days. I wanted to give the pillow a fair shake by waiting the 60 days, but this added to my losing track of the receipt and original packaging which my wife tossed out by mistake.
I’ve had buckwheat husk pillows in the past, but they weren’t nearly the quality of the Hullo. This pillow my not be for everyone, but if you’ve struggled with your regular pillow you should try the Hullo. It works for me.

It’s great, but I wouldn’t recommend it after the latest price increase.
I was using this as my ‘main’ pillow and I was waking up with a pretty sore neck. I tried adjusting a few things but didn’t make much progress.
So for that use-case, didn’t work for me.
I ended up sticking it under my knees and that’s been pretty comfortable.
At first it felt like i was resting on a bean bag, but over the last several months, I’ve never slept better!

Just too hard for me to sleep on. It’s been sitting in the box under my bed since the first week I tried it.
